California National Parks: 2021

As the first major tide of Covid ebbed our group headed west to visit the great California National Parks: Death Valley, Mammoth Lakes, Yosemite, Kings Canyon, Sequoia. On a trip of extremes, we visited the lowest (282 feet below sea level), witnessed the highest (14,494 feet above), experienced great heat (116 ℉), and played in the snow. Overall, a pretty amazing expedition.

Our group consisted of 15 associated with Grove City College, 8 hailing from Texas A&M University, 2 excellent expedition leaders (one of them Scrappy!), and a most skilled driver. We had quite an experience navigating a socially distanced world, walking on desert sand dunes and between giants of the plant kingdom.

Photo Memory Book

The photo memory book for this trip is available through Printique (formerly AdoramaPix). The pages are filled with images that are sure to bring back memories for past visitors and to share with friends and family.

This book is thick (1"), fairly hefty, and amazing! It is 90 pages long and has more than 350 images on its pages. As of May 2019, Printique charges about $231 for a copy (before promotions), certainly non-trivial, but the quality is amazing. The pages are stiff and covered in real photographic print images. The Luster finish presents sharp images in a fingerprint-resistant finish The book includes contributions from a number of participants. I want to thank them for letting me use their images.

You can order a copy of the book by clicking on the image to the left which should take you to the Printique website. If you don't have a Printique (AdoramaPix) account, please consider using my referral link which should get us both a small discount.  If you want guidance on how to use the link, take a look at BarrettPhoto Blog page: Using Adoramapix Referral Link
