Target Island

That small rocky outcrop located in the distance used to be an important navigational landmark for sailors. More recently it served as a target for the Royal Navy and RAF to practice their targeting skills with live ammunition. Its time as a target accounts for the large amount of rubble visible at the base of the outcrop.
