Memorial to Self Grandizement

The original grand masters were buried in humble tombs. That changed as the ordered amassed wealth until the deceased grand masters were memorialized by ever more ornate creations such as this.

Be sure to notice the inlays on the curved columns. It’s hard to imagine how those three dimensional elements were shaped to fit perfectly on those columns.
